Hotjar vs Contentsquare: one company now, one price list

Hotjar is now part of Contentsquare, so its pricing page, new accounts and plans sit on Contentsquare's site. As read on October 30, 2026, Growth costs $49 a month billed monthly, or $39 a month on yearly payment, at 7,000 monthly sessions. Hotjar's own pricing page redirects to Contentsquare's, and Contentsquare says it is no longer possible to create a new Hotjar account.

Growth is priced by monthly sessions, and a Contentsquare session ends after 30 minutes of inactivity. The prices are for the whole account in one region, and Growth plans do not require an annual contract.

Contentsquare marks yearly payment "Save 20%". Per its pricing page, the saving applies when annual payment is set up in the app with a credit card or PayPal, not when paying by invoice. Customers outside Europe are billed in US dollars.

When a Growth plan reaches its limit, Contentsquare says no new heatmap or funnel data arrives until next month's reset date.
