Lucky Orange vs Hotjar: price per plan on an annual basis
Lucky Orange and Hotjar both count monthly sessions. As read on October 30, 2026, Lucky Orange Build is $32 a month paid annually for 3,500 sessions, and Hotjar, now part of Contentsquare, charges $39 a month on yearly payment for 7,000 sessions on its Growth plan. Each vendor counts a session by its own rule: Contentsquare's ends after 30 minutes of inactivity. The table stays on annual billing, the basis Lucky Orange's pricing page opens on.
| Plan | Price, annual basis | Monthly sessions | Trial |

Start a 14-day Plerdy trial →What Lucky Orange says every plan includes
Lucky Orange says all features come on all plan levels, with extra storage, websites and more as add-ons. Additional websites cost $5 a site, base data storage starts at 60 days, and Discovery AI is listed as an add-on.
Lucky Orange's title says plans from Free to Enterprise, but its plan list starts at the paid Build plan with a 7-day free trial, and its terms say the trial needs payment information.
What Hotjar's Growth plan includes on Contentsquare
Contentsquare Growth keeps analytics data for 13 months and session replays for 2 months, and it includes 3 projects. When the session limit is reached, Contentsquare says no new heatmap or funnel data arrives until next month's reset date. Growth plans do not require an annual contract. The Hotjar vs Contentsquare guide lists every Growth step.
Trials, refunds and renewals on each side
Lucky Orange offers a 7-day free trial with full access, but its terms ask for payment information to be eligible and say the payment method is charged the full plan price automatically when the trial ends. The terms also say payments are non-cancelable and non-refundable, with no early termination fee or refund on monthly contracts, and that subscriptions renew automatically for terms equal to the expiring term.
Contentsquare starts new accounts on a 15-day Growth trial with no payment details, and gives new Growth accounts a 30-day money-back guarantee. Plerdy's pricing page prints "No credit card required" under its 14-day trial cards, and its FAQ says it can only refund payments made in the last 30 days, through Support.
Where Plerdy fits beside both
Plerdy counts differently: heatmaps against a daily page-view limit that resets daily, and video sessions as a total you manage by deleting recordings. Startup is $21 a month billed annually for 500 heatmap page views a day and 5,000 video sessions in total.
Pick Lucky Orange Build for a small site whose traffic fits 3,500 sessions and that accepts a trial with payment information. Pick Hotjar's Growth plan on Contentsquare for 7,000 sessions, 13 months of analytics and a trial without payment details. Pick Plerdy for a site that wants daily heatmap limits and a 14-day trial that its pricing page says needs no credit card, and Microsoft Clarity for maps at no cost.
Hotjar alternatives lists more rivals, and heatmap tool cost per month lines the plans up.
