Is Plerdy legit: what its published pages show
Plerdy publishes what a buyer can check before paying: public prices, Terms of Use, a GDPR page and a refund rule. Its pricing page lists Startup at $32 a month billed monthly or $21 a month billed annually, as read on October 30, 2026. The Terms of Use were last updated August 26, 2022, and the GDPR page shows October 28, 2026. Plerdy's FAQ gives a typical support reply time of 12 to 24 hours.

Plerdy's FAQ says refund requests go through Support in your account and that it can only refund payments made in the last 30 days. Its pricing page prints no money-back guarantee. After the first payment, every later payment for the chosen package is automatic.
Under the Terms, refusing an automatic payment ends the paid subscription and moves it to a free subscription, and a switch to a free subscription is not allowed until the payment period ends. To change plans, use the Pricing tab in Settings; the Plerdy pricing guide lists both billing bases. Contentsquare, which now includes Hotjar, gives every new Growth plan account a 30-day money-back guarantee, per its pricing page.
Where recordings are stored and how consent works
Plerdy's GDPR page says you are the controller for visitor data and Plerdy is the processor. It says servers, databases and session recordings are in Germany, in ISO/IEC 27001-certified data centers, and that IP addresses are used only to find the country and are not stored. Typed form values are masked in the visitor's browser.
Plerdy can be set to start only after the visitor agrees in your consent banner, and it says it respects Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. Its FAQ says cookies are kept to a minimum, with a visitor ID and session data held in the browser's local storage.
Is Plerdy a scam? What the Free plan and trial let you check first
Plerdy lets a buyer check the product before paying. The Free plan is $0 forever, and every paid card starts a 14-day free trial. Because Plerdy's pricing page prints "No credit card required" under those cards, you can open the dashboard before paying anything. Once the tracking code is added, the Check installation window shows whether Plerdy finds it. The Plerdy review covers every plan.
The WordPress plugin status and other details to weigh
WordPress.org lists Plerdy's plugin, version 1.4.5, as not tested with the latest three major WordPress releases.
Plerdy suits a buyer who is content with a 30-day refund window and wants the Free plan or the trial first. Pick Contentsquare for a money-back guarantee, and Microsoft Clarity for a tool run by Microsoft at no cost. The Plerdy alternatives guide compares more.
